AAP KINDNESS DAY CELEBRATION  

Nov. 11, 2023, 10:00a.m.-5:00 PM

Members of our community and planet earth are all invited as we make a human connection with strangers through eye contact, meditations, conversations or dance to the music!! "Cool to Be Kind", "Courage to Be Kind", "Kindness Hero" award will be given to the young and the old members of our community for their small and big acts of Kindness in town. "We Love Laguna Beach" hosts a table offering Kindness merch to help with our fundraising efforts. Children's art table is sponsored by "HeArtsy" from 10a.m to 1:00p.m. Conversation In Kindness is moderated by Ed Seinfeld of "The Voice of Laguna" radio with a few of our local change makers on stage at 2:00. Live Music Performances by Rebel Robbie, Blind Melody, Yeggi Watts, Jon Harb, Jon Bone, Djembe Fusion and The Enchanters followed by sunset meditation and chanting by 2 Gomang Monks: Geshe Tsewang Thinley and Tenzin Gyatso. 

United in Kindness we rise up to bullying and celebrate World Kindness Day. This is Ability Awareness Project's Annual Public Awareness Event in collaboration with City of Laguna Beach.

2022 theme is "Toward Community and Unity" which is exactly what we stand for. Ability Awareness Project, a Laguna Beach nonprofit leading the Laguna Beach Kindness Movement with a mission to build a united interconnected world free of bullying. Founder Shadi Pourkashef, The Goodwill Ambassador of World Kindness for the City of Laguna Beach is now the Secretary General of World Kindness USA and is joined by board members, the talented singer Sydney Noelle and volunteers reminding us all to hold each other close and be united in love and kindness.

This is Ability Awareness Project's Annual Public Awareness Event in collaboration with City of Laguna Beach.

Day of Kindness Event

Ability Awareness Project's Annual Event in Laguna Beach

Nov. 9,  2019 10am till 5:30pm,  

Turn off cell phones and make a human connection! Volunteers bring strangers together and had them start off by saying: "I am the other you and I love you just the same". Then guide them to talk, meditate or just maintain eye contact. "Take what you need and Pay it Forward" on our brand new Kindness Wall!!  More volunteers offered: "Eye Contact", "Free Hugs", "Sit with Me", "Meditate with Me", "Dance with Me". There was uplifting music and speakers all day long ending with a Kindness Meditation at sunset: 4:52. We had our vigils of children who have died by suicide due to bullying and we sent them a prayer. With our unity, love and kindness we let them know that we won't let their death be in vain and we are here, unified in kindness, to rise up to bullying.    This year our event was in collaboration with the City of Laguna Beach to celebrate 2019 World Kindness Day.
